Yale Concert to be Broadcast on WNPR Radio

The Yale Symphony Orchestra’s live recording of Mahler’s Symphony No. 6 will be aired on WNPR’s “Sunday Spotlight” on July 15 at 7 p.m

This concert was originally performed and recorded on November 30, 2006. The broadcast will also feature Alma Mahler’s “Five Songs,” orchestrated at the request of Musical Director Toshi Shimada by Yale undergraduate composers Jacob First, Anna Lindemann, Andrew Ly and Andrew McManus, and sung by soprano Claudia Rosenthal.

WNPR is heard locally at 90.5 FM and online at www.wnpr.org. The Yale Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1965, is one of the premiere undergraduate orchestras in the United States.
