Yale’s University Properties welcomes Tracy b to the Chapel Street Historic District in downtown New Haven.

Tracy b, a women’s fashion boutique owned and operated by Tracy Bonosconi, offers revamped classic styles by up-and-coming designers and showcases an organic line that champions environmentalism. The eco-friendly Stewart Brown line embodies the emerging trend of combining commerce with sustainability. Items will include t-shirts and sweaters made from organic cotton.

The press is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Tracy b on Thursday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at 1042 Chapel Street.

“There are many small designers doing amazing work. My goal in bringing their innovative fashion to New Haven is to give customers the opportunity to better express themselves in clothing that isn’t mass produced,” said Bonosconi, a former runway model and 15-year fashion industry veteran.

Many of the brands carried at Tracy b, such as Grahm and Spencer, Genetic Denim and Scoop Footware, will be area exclusives. Along with clothes and accessories, the store will also sell items for the home.

“Tracy b is another one-of-a-kind women’s fashion apparel shop that serves the entire New Haven region, and this opening emphasizes that fact that New Haven is coming into its own as a shopping destination,” said Shana Noelle Schneider, director of marketing for University Properties.
