Arthur L. Levy, MD Named Medical Director for Medical Oncology

Dr. Arthur Levy Richard L. Edelson, M.D., Director of Yale Cancer Center , has appointed Dr. Arthur Levy to the position of Medical Director for Medical Oncology. In this position, Levy will be responsible for the clinical activities in the medical oncology practice at Yale Cancer Center.

Richard L. Edelson, M.D., Director of Yale Cancer Center , has appointed Dr. Arthur Levy to the position of Medical Director for Medical Oncology. In this position, Levy will be responsible for the clinical activities in the medical oncology practice at Yale Cancer Center.

“Art Levy brings a special blend of uncompromising clinical expertise, organizational skills, teaching prowess, and contagious enthusiasm to the Cancer Center. He is enormously respected by the medical community throughout the State, and beyond, as a paragon oncologist. He will contribute immensely to our capacity to deliver outstanding care to cancer patients and to train the clinical leaders of tomorrow,” Edelson said.

In addition to his administrative and leadership roles at the Center, Levy will be actively involved in the training and education of medical students, house staff and fellows. As part of this role, he will continue to care for cancer patients with a wide range of diseases, including lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies, as well as solid tumors.

Levy practiced medical oncology in private practice for the last thirty years as a Partner at Medical Oncology & Hematology, P.C., in New Haven before joining Yale Cancer Center. He also served as an Attending at Yale-New Haven Medical Center/West Haven VA Hospital. He is the author or coauthor of numerous articles, book chapters, and reviews, including several on hematological malignancies.
