Liev Schreiber Live at Yale

Liev Schreiber

The Yale Center for British Art and Yale School of Drama/Yale Repertory Theatre are pleased to present “A Conversation with Liev Schreiber,” at the University Theatre, 222 York Street, on September 11 at 8 p.m.

Hosted by James Bundy, dean of School of Drama and artistic director of Yale Rep, the evening will also include readings from Shakespeare by the  award-winning actor. This special event is presented in conjunction with the “Searching for Shakespeare” exhibition on view at the Yale Center for British Art through September 17.

Schreiber received his training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and Yale School of Drama (‘92, MFA).  An accomplished Shakespearean actor, his most recent stage appearance was the title role in “Macbeth” earlier this year in New York’s Shakespeare in the Park.  Other performances in works by Shakespeare include the title roles in “Henry V” and “Hamlet,” Iago in “Othello,” Banquo in “Macbeth,” Sebastian in “The Tempest” and both Jupiter and Iachimo in “Cymbeline” (for which he received the Obie Award).  On film, he portrayed Laertes in a modern-day version of “Hamlet.”

Tickets are $35 (student tickets are $10) and can be ordered in advance online at http://www.yalerep.org/ and by phone (203) 432-1234.
