Reception to Be Held for New Haven Oral History Project Exhibition
Members of the press are invited to attend a reception on Saturday, June 26, 4-6 p.m. for the New Haven Oral History Project (NHOHP) exhibition at the New Haven Colony Historical Society, 114 Whitney Avenue.
The exhibition highlights NHOHP interviews conducted by Yale students documenting the redevelopment of New Haven in the 1950s and 1960s.
Titled “Life in the Model City: Stories of Urban Renewal in New Haven,” the exhibition features listening stations where visitors can hear residents’ personal recollections of New Haven’s historic transformation.
Several of the New Haven residents whose testimonies can be heard in the exhibition will attend the reception on Saturday.
The exhibition will be open to the public through August 27, 2004.
