Yale Remembers September 11

Yale University will commemorate the tragic events of September 11, 2001, with a series of memorials and programs tomorrow.

8:30 a.m.
Mourning Remembrances. Readings and reflections. A moment of silence will be observed at 8:47 a.m.
Location: Beinecke Plaza

Noon
Readings, Prayers from Many Traditions and Reflections. The chapel will remain open all day.
Location: Battell Chapel

7 p.m.
Yale Remembers … a memorial for the victims of the events of 9/11/0. Location: Beinecke Plaza
Speakers, music by the Baker’s Dozen, and a reading of the victims’ names.

8 p.m. How Do We Mourn?
Location: Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale, 80 Wall St.
A discussion with people of different faiths about how their traditions approach mourning and find meaning in death. This event is sponsored by Jews And Muslims (JAM) and the University Chaplain’s Office.
