Yale Names Architects for Renovations of Trumbull and Silliman Colleges
Yale University has chosen renowned architects Goody, Clancy & Associates and Kieran Timberlake Associates for the design of two residential colleges scheduled for comprehensive renovations under the University’s Residential Facilities Renovations Program.
Construction on Trumbull College, with renovations designed by Goody, Clancy & Associates, is scheduled for 2005-06. The Boston-based firm has worked on many university campuses and on almost every type of academic building including the 1998 renovation of Yale’s Linsly-Chittenden Hall. GC&A have extensive experience in student housing, with over 4,000 beds including suites and apartments at Dartmouth, Harvard, MIT and Princeton. The award-winning firm has significant expertise in historic preservation.
Construction on Silliman College, designed by Kieran Timberlake Associates, is scheduled for 2006-07. The Philadelphia-based firm is the designer of current renovations for Pierson College, scheduled for 2003-04, and Davenport College, scheduled for 2004-05. They have extensive institutional and academic experience, including projects at Cornell, Duke, Princeton, Temple and many other campuses and have received numerous design awards.
