Yale's James Jones to Host Youth Basketball Clinic at Farnam Neighborhood House

James Jones, head coach of the Yale University men's basketball team, will host a free basketball clinic for young people, aged 7 to 14, in Fair Haven next Saturday.

James Jones, head coach of the Yale University men’s basketball team, will host a free basketball clinic for young people, aged 7 to 14, in Fair Haven next Saturday.

“This is a great opportunity for New Haven’s youth to come out and enjoy learning the fine points of the game of basketball,” said Jones. “It’s also a great opportunity for my kids on the basketball team to give back to the community.” Jones said several members of Yale’s men’s basketball team will be on hand to help with the clinic.

Farnam Neighborhood House, located in the Fair Haven neighborhood, is a center for the entire community that focuses on nurturing young children, promoting positive youth development, strengthening families and community through involvement. It’s stated mission is to “play a leadership role in helping the community to be cohesive, successful and productive.”
