Advisory to Media for Yale Events of October 5-6, 2001

The following information will guide media representatives who are assigned to cover Yale Tercentennial events for October 5-6, 2001. Please pay particular attention to registration deadlines. Fax all requests to 203-432-1323.

The following information will guide media representatives who are assigned to cover Yale Tercentennial events for October 5-6, 2001. Please pay particular attention to registration deadlines. Fax all requests to 203-432-1323.

For Friday, Oct. 5, Yale Bowl event (rain date: Saturday, Oct. 6 at Yale Bowl)

Parking: Lot F, corner of Chapel Street and Central Avenue: all media vehicles EXCEPT satellite trucks MUST park here. Arrive after 1:30 p.m. Media credentials will be issued ONLY in the Lot F Press Tent and will NOT be available in advance.

For satellite trucks: please arrive BEFORE NOON at the gate at the corner of Chapel Street and Yale Avenue where you will be directed to park. No trucks will be parked after NOON.

Identification: Please have two forms of photo identification with you. Only those whose names have been given in advance to Yale OPA will be permitted to enter Lot F.

Credentials: Only working press and crew members with valid media credentials who have contacted Yale OPA or faxed their credential requests with complete information and signed up in advance for entry will be issued credentials at the Lot F Press Tent. THE DEADLINE FOR MEDIA REGISTRATION IS NOON, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2001 - NO EXCEPTIONS.

For Saturday, Oct. 6 (rain or shine), former President Clinton’s address on Cross Campus (bounded by College, Wall, Elm and York streets)

Parking: No parking on College Street between Elm and Grove streets. Media vehicles should be parked legally at meters on all available streets.

For satellite trucks, please arrive before noon and park at bagged meters on College Street between Elm and Chapel streets at the direction of police officers.

Identification: Please have two forms of photo identification with you. Only those whose names have been given in advance to Yale OPA will be permitted to enter the press platform.

Credentials: Only working press and crew members with valid media credentials who have contacted Yale OPA or faxed their credential requests with complete information and signed up in advance for entry will be permitted coverage. Media representatives who have registered in advance with OPA will be met at the Wall Street gate entrance to Cross Campus where they will receive tickets to the event. THE DEADLINE FOR MEDIA REGISTRATION IS NOON, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2001 - NO EXCEPTIONS.
