Weekend Events at Yale Commemorating September 11 Attack
The following events in response to the recent attacks on the United States are planned for this weekend on the Yale Campus.
At noon today services for prayer and remembrance will be held at the following locations: Battell Chapel, Old Campus; Dwight Chapel, Old Campus; and Muslim Prayer Space, Old Campus (Bingham Hall lower level); Black Church at Yale, Afro-Am Cultural Center, Park Street; New Haven Zen Center, Mansfield Street; Saint Thomas More, Park Street; Slifka Center for Jewish Life, Wall Street.
At 5 p.m. today, a vigil sponsored by Muslim Students Association and Yale Hillel will take place on Cross Campus.
On Saturday, 2 p.m., at Beinecke Plaza, the Yale Concert Band will present “A Celebration of Life,” a concert conducted by Tom Duffy with music and remarks by representatives of the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic communities.
On Sunday, 7- 8:30 p.m., a faculty panel discussion moderated by Yale College Dean Richard Brodhead will take place at Battell Chapel.
