Gourmet Heaven Set to Open Thursday

University Properties announces the grand opening of Gourmet Heaven, a grocery, delicatessen and food shop serving the Yale community and the New Haven community adjacent to the Broadway District.

University Properties announces the grand opening of Gourmet Heaven, a grocery, delicatessen and food shop serving the Yale community and the New Haven community adjacent to the Broadway District.

New Haven Mayor John DeStefano Jr. will join Bruce Alexander, vice president and director of Yale’s Office of New Haven Affairs and University Properties, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

Gourmet Heaven, operating in one of 66 commercial properties owned by Yale University, is independently owned and operated by Ryung Cho, who also owns and operates another location in New York City. The store’s products include a hot and cold buffet, with 24 selections of hot items and 24 selections of cold items, a wide variety of grocery items, fresh fruit and flowers in a relaxed, inviting setting of natural wooden shelving and floors.
