Women's Campaign School at Yale Hosts Awards Dinner

- The Women’s Campaign School at Yale will hold its annual awards dinner in Westport, CT, on June 3.

The Women’s Campaign School at Yale was founded in 1993 to address the obstacles women face when contemplating running for elected office or pursuing other campaign-related endeavors. It fosters careers in politics through a training program that includes lectures, seminars, role-playing, mock campaigns and case studies. In its effort to promote the political empowerment of women worldwide, the school places special emphasis on emerging democracies.

The awards dinner will take place at the home of Ann Sheffer in Westport, CT, and will be hosted by Zoe Baird, president of the Markle Foundation.

Honored guests and honorees will include: Susan Molinari, former member of Congress; Nancy Wyman, Connecticut State Comptroller; Susan Bysiewicz, Connecticut Secretary of the State; Moira Lyons, Speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives; M. Adela Eads, minority leader, Connecticut House of Representatives; Diane Farrell, First Selectman, Westport; Lisa Mason, Alderman, City of Waterbury; Melina A. Carnicelli, Mayor, Auburn, NY; Stephanie H. Sanchez, former selectman of Greenwich, CT and congressional candidate.
