The Yale School of Nursing is asking school children in New Haven to submit their designs for a holiday card for YSN on the theme of “caring.”
The deadline for the art contest is Oct. 5.
A single winner will be selected from three grade categories: K-3, 4-7 and 8-12. Judges will be Robert Stern, dean of the Yale School of Architecture; Jock Reynolds, director of the Yale Art Gallery, and New Haven School Superintendent Reginald Mayo.
Prizes will be provided by the Yale Book Store, Kaye’s Art Shop and the Eli Whitney Museum. Participants will receive a certificate and a thank you gift and will be invited to a reception at the YSN on Nov. 1.
Submissions must be labeled with the student’s name, school, grade, art teacher and teacher’s telephone number.
