Success and Future of Yale Employee Homebuyer Program In New Haven To Be Announced Thursday

Yale President Richard C. Levin will host a news conference Thursday, Dec. 4, to announce continuation of the Yale Employee Homebuyer Program, which was scheduled to expire the end of this month. Inaugurated in April 1994, the program provides incentive payments of $20,000 over a 10-year period for each Yale employee who purchases and lives in a home in one of several designated New Haven neighborhoods, plus a cash bonus at closing.

President Levin also will announce details of the University’s continuing effort to encourage Yale employees to become New Haven homeowners.

The news conference will begin at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the Yale Office of New Haven Affairs conference room, 433 Temple St.
