Restoring the Wooster Square cherry trees

The Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies' Urban Resources Initiative (URI) is working with the City of New Haven to preserve and protect the cherry trees in New Haven's historic Wooster Square neighborhood. The URI has completed an analysis of the Yoshino cherry trees in the park, and has a program to replace selected damaged trees over a period of years.
