Provost visits Peck Place's West Campus home

The Yale provost, who is also a professor of economics, engaged Michelle Behun’s 6th-graders in a numbers game.
Noting that the students caught on quickly, Polak encouraged the entire class to apply to Yale. In six years they could be sitting in his popular “Game Theory” course.
After two months on campus, the Peck Place students are adjusting very well in their temporary home at West Campus.

Yale Provost Benjamin Polak took time on March 12 to visit some of the 374 Peck Place Elementary School students and their 50 teachers and administrators, who are spending this school year at Yale’s West Campus. The Orange school, for first- through sixth-graders, suffered significant water damage in early January after a pipe burst. School district officials accepted Yale’s invitation to move into renovated space at West Campus until repairs are completed at Peck.
