Members of the Yale community will ‘swing into spring’ on Wednesday, April 8, at the Sterling Memorial Library.

All are welcome to join in the evening of dance, which will feature a free swing lesson and music drawn mainly from the recently preserved Benny Goodman archive from the Gilmore Music Library. Film footage will be shown from the archive, and refreshments will be served. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the L&B Room of Sterling Memorial Library, 120 High St.

The Benny Goodman archive underwent renovation treatment using funds donated to the Yale library from the charitable fund Arcadia.

“Swing Into Spring” is sponsored by the Gilmore Music Library, the Yale University Library, and Yale Swing & Blues.
