Alumni get their smiles (and their silly) on for reunion photo booth

“Say cheese!” was the phrase of the day at the photo booth set up during the reunion weekend hosted by the Association of Yale Alumni (AYA) May 23-25.

The social media team from Yale’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications (OPAC) set up the photo booth during the Friday evening reception. To ensure participants created memorable photos, whimsical stick-handled props were provided — from signs featuring class year to fanciful glasses and mustaches. Alumni were able to join old and new friends in capturing the spirit of the reunion, show their class spirit, and share the photographs with friends and family.

Introducing photo booths at reunions is just one of the ways in which the OPAC social media team and the AYA are working together to make alumni engagement more social. Other efforts include providing support in the planning and implementation of events, outreach through the university’s social media channels, and creating engagement opportunities during the reunions.

The photo booth will be available for the second reunion weekend on Friday, May 30 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
