Shoppers can ‘Share the Love’ to support a local non-profit

Shoppers can win $5,000 for their favorite local non-profit organization by participating in the “Share the Love” program on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Sponsored by the Broadway Merchants’ Association, “Share the Love.” is part of an ongoing commitment by local merchants to support the community. The Broadway shops and restaurants joined together to raise the $5,000 donation.

Here’s how it works: Participants obtain a “Share the Love” card — either in-person at Trailblazer, at 296 Elm St; online at TheshopsatYale.com; or from the advertisement in the New Haven Register on Friday, Feb. 7. Shoppers visit at least four shops or restaurants between 2 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, collecting stamps from each merchant along the way. They then fill out the card, indicating the non-profit organization they want to receive the donation, and bring it to Trailblazer for entry into the contest.

The winner will be chosen on Monday, Feb. 10at 10 a.m., and his or her non-profit of choice will receive the $5,000. An announcement will be released on twitter @TheshopsatYale and facebook at fb.com/TheShopsAtYale. Rules and regulations may be found on: TheshopsatYale.com
