Yale and New Haven share nearly 300 years of history and one keeper-in-chief of the highlights. Now it’s your chance to pick her brain.

Judy Schiff, chief research archivist at Yale and also New Haven’s city historian, appears Tuesday, May 7, on @YaleLive at noon EDT.

Viewers may submit questions before and during the interview via Yale’s Facebook page, Twitter@Yale, or socialmedia@yale.edu.

Schiff, who grew up in New Haven and has been at Yale for more than 50 years, has been called “Yale’s encyclopedia.” She has written the “Old Yale” column in the Yale Alumni Magazine since 1987. She became New Haven’s city historian in 2012.

This year the city is celebrating the 375th anniversary of its founding. Yale, established in 1701, settled in New Haven in 1716.

@YaleLive, a live monthly YouTube broadcast, offers people worldwide an opportunity to engage with Yale experts. It broadcasts on the University’s YouTube channel at noon. The May program will run about 30 minutes.
