A zombie-themed television series was the inspiration for this year’s Second Year Show, titled “The Walking Med,” which will be staged on Friday, Feb. 22, by the Yale School of Medicine’s Class of 2015.

Proceeds from the show, an annual tradition at the medical school, will benefit the Hunger & Homelessness Charities.

In the popular television series, “The Walking Dead,” a sheriff’s deputy awakens from a coma to find the world overtaken by zombies. “The Walking Med,” say the organizers, is “an action-packed, comedic, and personal journey through the horrors — as well as joys — of medical school.” (Watch the trailer below.)

The show will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Harkness Auditorium, 333 Cedar St. Click here for ticket information.
