Friday

Listen to the Yale Philharmonia perform music by Tchaikovsky and Strauss, in a concert conducted by Shinik Hahm. Free. Woolsey Hall, 500 College St. 8 p.m.


 

Saturday

Bring the family to a performance of Where’s Byron Bear?, in which puppet Roxi Foxx will discover some of the ways wildlife adapt to the cold winter months. Yale Peabody of Natural History, 170 Whitney Ave. 11 a.m.

See Yale take on Colgate in the White Out for Mandi Ice Hockey Game — dedicated to former Yale student Mandi Schwartz (1988-2011). Free, but donations to the Mandi Schwartz Foundation will be accepted at the door. Ingalls Rink, 73 Sachem St. 3:45 p.m.

Hear Yale Schola Cantorum — accompanied by members of the Yale Baroque Ensemble — perform a concert featuring works by Frank Martin and Henry Purcell. Free. Christ Church Episcopal, 84 Broadway, 8 p.m.

 

Sunday

Enjoy a Family Day at the Yale Art Gallery, and explore the newly renovated and expanded space, and take part in art-making activities, storytelling, and tours for children ages 4-10. Free. Yale University Art Gallery, 1111 Chapel St. 1-3:30 p.m.

All Weekend

Experience Marie Jones’ Stones in His Pockets — the next offering in the Yale Repertory Theatre’s season — directed by Evan Yionoulis and starring Fred Arsenault and Euan Morton. University Theatre, 222 York St. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.
