Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will join former President of Mexico Ernesto Zedillo for a conversation on “Global Crises: The Way Forward” on Monday, Dec. 3.
University President Richard C. Levin will host the event, which will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Battell Chapel, 300 College St. (corner of College and Elm streets). Attendees must be seated by 1:20 pm. IDs will be checked at the door. Bags may be subject to search.
Blair and Zedillo will discuss critical issues facing world leaders today, including faith and globalization, the Middle East, and the Eurozone. Their discussion also can be viewed online in real time.
The Tony Blair Faith Foundation and Yale launched the Faith and Globalization Initiative in the fall of 2008. Blair served as prime minister of Great Britain 1997 to 2007. Zedillo, who was president of Mexico 1994 to 2000, is now the Frederick Iseman ‘74 Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, professor in the field of international economics and politics, professor of international and area studies, and professor adjunct of forestry and environmental studies.
