Alcoa chair speaks at Yale
Klaus Kleinfeld, Alcoa chair and chief executive officer, discussed the global trends that are affecting how businesses operate during a talk in at Morse College on March 28.
His talk ranged from the ways in which technological developments have hastened the pace at which business is conducted, to environmental concerns that are impacting such issues as the price of transportation, to the increasing influence of Asia on the global economy. Kleinfeld also discussed the differences between working for a start-up business versus a large corporation, noting that there were advantages and disadvantages to both.
His talk was sponsored by the Gordon Grand Fellowship at Yale, which aims to promote dialogue between business leaders and students.
